Free Event

Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM

First off I can only take 6 other hikers on this and this is why. We meet at 630 Am (this is a sunrise hike) at the East Boundary South parking lot. You will leave your vehicles here and we jump in my van and drive around to Eian Lamont park on the other side of Boucherie. From the parking lot we turn right and skirt the bottom of the mountain until you see some very unique boulders. After this the trail goes straight up an unofficial trail. It is a bit of a grind and this section would be considered difficult I believe. The mountain gives you some natural stairs and it is over fairly quickly and you are on the first cliff edge to watch the sunrise over Kelowna. From here you have a little more climbing to the summit then walk across the spine of the mountain. We reach the westside lookout and here take a break and take pictures. After that you take a meandering path down the westside of the mountain to your vehicle at the south parking lot. I did this hike solo and it took me 1:45 minutes. So I figure with a crew I’ll say it could take up to 3 hours (but probably faster than that). I don’t know if anyone will come on this journey being so early but I’m throwing it out there.
Things to consider: Dress warm, bring flashlight, water, snacks, camera. The parking lot is Called the Boucherie trails parking lot when you put it into google maps. It’s on east boundary road. There’s a little pull in with a porta potty there.
