Gladstone Hike
Free Event
Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Starting at the popular Gladstone Trailhead, begin an ascent to abandoned mines, passing cute manmade fairy doors nestled in the trees. After a brisk few minutes uphill, enter the short and dark passageway which lurks over a deep pit, and has a skylight of a portal looking upwards to the heavens, before ending abruptly at a dripping cave wall. Of course, enter only at your own risk.
Hikers continue their journey to the summit and have the opportunity to wrap their arms around a 400 year old Ponderosa Pine. Shortly afterwards, descend to a bench overlooking Okanagan Lake and Rattlesnake Island. One of the best spots to spend the early morning or late sunset.
