Pincushion

The meetup place is Pincushion Mountain Park. Put that into your navigation and it will take you right to the parking lot. So last week I was working on a new extension for the pickleball courts in Peachland. As I was working I looked up and saw the flagpole for Pincushion and was thinking, man, I’d rather be up there right now. It taunted me for 3 days straight. So that’s where we’re going if you want to come. I want to go early to beat the heat 8am. This is a pretty steep climb up. I made it up in about 1/2 an hour but I took a shortcut. You go up this mountain and around until you get on the spine of it. The view is well worth the effort you put into it. I found someone’s really expensive camera and placed it on the lost and found Facebook page. I really hope they get it back but time will tell. This is an awesome hike that everyone should do at least once, if they live in the Okanagan. You don’t need a hiking group to do it but you should put it on your list. Maybe your Saturday list.
