BX Falls

Vernon

12 min from Downtown Vernon
6185 Star Rd, Vernon, BC V1B 3P4
About a 2 hour return-trip walk, BX Falls takes you along the BX creek and leads you on a steady elevation to a gushing waterfall.

The Cedar forest trail entails rock and dirt slopes, several bridge crossings and one water crossing, it is recommended to wear sturdy footwear. Scenery includes dense foliage and sun-soaked pools of water along the way.

Once you reach the falls, you have an option of taking a side trail down to the bottom of the falls for a closer look, this takes about an hour each way and can be located at the north-east end of the trail.

Due to high stream levels in 2010, several bridges were washed away and are in the process of being rebuilt, hikers must take caution as they attempt to cross the creek. It is also advised to be wary of wildlife after several sightings of bears and their cubs in the summer of 2012 near the park.

GPS Notes
We have often color-coded our GPX tracks. While it is not always the case, we have tried to use the following convention on our newer maps:

Green/Blue: human-verified by our volunteers.
Purple: overgrown trail, bushwhack, or on private property.
Red: default color or not reality-checked
Yellow: Road
Other Colors: May have been satellite traced or imported from third party sources.

While we strongly believe our GPS are accurate, please be aware that no logging system is perfect and to be aware of potential errors. Use at your own risk.

I'm coming from Kelowna as well. Do you know how long it takes to get there? Having trouble finding an exact address for the parking lot.
