Free Event

Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 10:00 AM to Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 12:24 AM

Sorry guys, not sure why the other event was cancelled. Please RSVP to this new one. The hike is MOST DEFINITELY still on.

While this trail runs along the east side of the Okanagan Valley from Vernon to Kelowna, we'll be starting at the Mission Creek & Highway 33 entrance. From the photos I've seen, and the commentary from friends, it's apparently one of the most popular and gorgeous hikes in the area. Be sure to bring your cameras, a light snack, and plenty of water.

I'll be doing this hike on Wednesday around 5:30pm to flag the trail. If you're interested in coming along for that, please call me at 250.864.7447.

This trail seemingly goes on for 55km, so we'll take it to make this hike about 3 hours... so a plan to be back at 1pm. According to TrailPeak.com, the hike is also rated "difficult" but I'll be able to give everyone a better idea of what to expect after I head out on it on Wednesday.

There will be a Google Map posting shortly for an exact entrance to the park. Apparently, we head in at Philpot Rd at Hwy 33 and go up the hill.
