Many trails in the region offer hikers year-round opportunities to wander and explore the terrain and vistas in the Okanagan. When the valley is blanketed with snow, it can make views and landscapes seem completely foreign, even if admired snow-less a hundred times!
With all the snow that has fallen this year in the Okanagan, it is easy for one to decide to hibernate until the first signs of spring! The winter weather shouldn’t be a deterrent for hikers to get out into the fresh air.
After a treacherous summer in the province with the wildfires and state of emergency, the fall is a wondrous time to take in the local trails in the Okanagan Valley. The lower temperatures, clear skies, and stunning Okanagan scenery make a beautiful canvas for the array of fall colours. While there are a multitude of hikes in the region, certain ones stand out for providing a spectacular foray of crimson, golden yellow and vibrant oranges amongst the greenery.
